Recol Ltd based in Northampton recently came to us when they are looking to replace their aging powder coating facility. They chose our modern TD Finishing Oxsilan based powder coating pretreatment equipment and powder coating plant. For many years the company was operating on a conveyorised manual plant with a 3 stage degrease/phosphate pre-treatment. They have since installed a 5-stage pre-treatment with cleaner, rinsing and Oxsilan based pre-treatment drying oven, curing oven and monorail conveyor system. The water for the demin rinse stages is provided by a stat of the art reverse osmosis unit.
The plant was based on a design speed of 1,500 mm/min and a workpiece size of 1,500 mm high x 1000 mm wide. As world-class providers of sheet metal fabrication, precision machined components and mechanical assemblies this covered most of their requirements. Where work falls outside of the design specification, the curing oven has the facility to be utilised in a similar manor to a box oven. Items too large or too heavy for the line can be manually coated and cured within the system.
